St Georges Day at Borough Market, 12pm to 4pm, Sunday 27 April 2014

Did you know that St George was the patron saint of farmers, shepherds and butchers as well as England? In light of this, Borough Market will mark St George’s day this Sunday with a festival of food, music, cookery demonstrations and traditional entertainment. The Market will also welcome its Catalonian friends, celebrating the fact that St. George is also patron saint of that region. The exchange of roses and books is a Catalan custom and the Government of Catalonia and traders will hand out roses to revellers throughout the day. There will also be traditional music and entertainment. Free. More details here.
