What’s on at the weekend? – 7, 8 October 2017

Fun Palaces are popping up all over London this weekend. Over the last four years this annual weekend has created hundreds of pop-up hives of activity promoting the arts and science. Here’s a selection of Fun Palaces taking place on Saturday – check out Fun Palaces for the full programme.

Discover Children’s Story Centre, Stratford, 1pm to 4pm

Festival of Radical Fun, Museum of London, from 10am

Celebrate all that’s great about London at the Museum of London. Enjoy laughter yoga, zine making, inventing soft drinks, music pop-ups, live bands and DJs.

Submerged, National Maritime Museum, 10.30am to 4pm

Head to the National Maritime Museum for sea-shanties and adventures in the depths of the world’s oceans. Meet Captain Barnacles from the Octonauts and CBBC actor Olly Pike. Make badges, build kites, dance, sing and more.

Artsdepot, North Finchley, 11am to 3pm

Join artsdepot for pop-up performances, science and art workshops, drama, a book swap and more.
