This weekend there are festivals galore; celebrate Latin Music and the South of France, or choose from a children’s summer fete and one along the towpath of a canal…

Angel Canal Festival, 11am to 5pm, Sunday 1 September 2013

Check out the annual Angel Canal Festival this weekend around City Road Lock, Basin and along the towpath of the Regent’s Canal. There will be stalls, a children’s fun fair, boat trips, art projects, live music, “have-a-go-at-canoeing” sessions, stalls, food and drink. Free. More details here.

Latin Music Festival, Horniman Museum and Gardens, 12pm to 6pm, Sunday 1 September 2013

The Horniman’s the place to be on Sunday for a big Latin fiesta celebrating the end of its Latin American series of summer events. There will be carnival performances from Brazil, Argentine tango, brass bands from Mexico, Peruvian party vibes, family activities and more. Free. More details here.

Sud de France Joie de Vivre Festival, Southbank, Saturday 31 August 2013

There will be a celebration of the South of France on London’s Southbank this weekend. Find out about and sample some food and wine, buy regional produce, play petanques or relax on the beach. Free. More details here.

Anorak Magazine Summer Fete, Dalston Square, 12pm to 6pm, Saturday 31 August 2013
