Chinese New Year, Museum of London Docklands, Saturday 28 January 2017

Celebrate the year of the rooster by filling a tray of togetherness, having a go at paper-cutting, creating a zodiac-inspired mobile, listening to traditional Chinese stories, dragon dancing and much more. Free. More details here

Chinese New Year Parade, Central London around Trafalgar Square, Sunday 29 January 2017

Central London’s annual Chinese New Year festivities and parade (the biggest outside Asia) take place on Sunday from Chinatown to Trafalgar Square. More details here

Broadskate, Broadgate (Liverpool Street), until 2 February 2017

Take a turn on the ice rink at Broadgate this weekend before it closes next Thursday. Babydaytripper can recommend the ride on/push along seal skate aids for kids which are great fun.
