This weekend you could go to a festival, sample the best of the West End, visit a windmill or celebrate all things Japanese…

Monkey & Crocodile, Metta Theatre, Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, Stanton House Playsite, Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June 2013

This weekend Metta Theatre is bringing the old Indian fable of the Monkey & Crocodile to life in a Greenwich playground. The show features aerial circus, acrobatics, juggling, skateboarding, live music and over one hundred apples. Suitable for children aged 3 and over. Free and unticketed. West End Live, Trafalgar Square, 11am to 6pm on Saturday 22 and 12pm to 6pm on Sunday 23 June 2013

Head along to Trafalgar Square this weekend for showcase performances from every West End musical, live bands and interactive exhibits from many of London’s top museums, galleries and cultural institutions. Free. Entrance operated on a ‘First Come / First In’ basis. More details here.

Cakes, Puddings and Pies, Brixton Windmill Parade and Festival, from 1pm Saturday 22 June 2013

Join in Brixton Windmill Parade and Festival this Saturday. The parade will start from Windrush Square at 1pm and will walk up Brixton Hill to Windmill Gardens, where there will be entertainment, live music, stalls, farm animals and much more. Free. More details here.

Okinawa Day, Spitalfields, 11am to 6pm, Saturday 22 June 2013

Celebrate the southwestern Japanese island of Okinawa this weekend at Spitalfields. There will be performing arts, karate demonstrations, food stalls, arts and crafts, travel and tourism. Free. More details here.
