Imaginary friend workshop, V&A Museum of Childhood, 11am to 3pm, Saturday 19 September 2015

If your child has an imaginary friend, head to the Museum of Childhood on Saturday for an interactive workshop with world famous designers and model makers from Aardman, Blinkink, Dwarf, Picasso, Pysop and Alban Studios. The designers will turn children’s descriptions into drawings and later sculptures for a Museum advert. Free. More details here

Open House Weekend, buildings across London, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2015

It’s Open House weekend again and hundreds of buildings across London, from the everyday to the iconic, will open their doors for the public to have a nose around. Check the programme for details – some visits need to be pre-booked, others have talks and guided tours. Free. More details here

Bermondsey Street Festival, Saturday 19 September 2015

London’s Farms and Gardens Show/City Harvest Festival, Capel Manor Gardens, 10am to 4.30pm, Saturday 19 September 2015

Visit a Country Show with an urban twist this weekend at Capel Manor Gardens in Enfield. There will be food, crafts, bees, falconry and a tug of war. Tickets cost £6.50 (adults), £3.50 (children aged 2 to 16 years), free entry for children aged one or under. More details here
