This weekend you can enjoy a festival of maritime music or else it’s just festive fun all the way…

Maritime Music Festival, Museum of London Docklands, 12pm to 4pm, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November 2017

The songs and stories of the sea take centre stage this weekend at the Museum of London Docklands’ Maritime Music Festival. Alongside a host of live acts, you can join in a sea shanty or nautical workshop, and create some maritime crafts. Free.

Hamley’s Toy Parade, Regent Street, 11am to 4.30pm, Sunday 19 November 2017

Regent Street goes traffic free on Sunday to make way for the Hamley’s Toy Parade. The parade starts at 11am and features a huge array of popular characters, followed by performances and activities from 12pm onwards. Free.

The Snow Queen, Polka Theatre, until 4 February 2018

A new adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen classic The Snow Queen opens this weekend at the Polka Theatre, Wimbledon. The show is suitable for ages 5 to 11. Tickets cost £18.50, concessions £12.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, until 1 January 2018

This weekend also marks the opening of the annual Winter Wonderland festival in Hyde Park. Choose from a Christmas market, fairground, ice rink, Santa Land, shows and more. Prices of attractions vary.
