Thames Festival, various locations, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2013
The Thames Festival draws to a close this weekend with more exciting events taking place up and down the riverside. Events include a craft and food festival, family activities in Potters Fields, a Classic Boat Festival and an exhibition of artwork inspired by the Queen’s Jubilee River Pageant. PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final, Trafalgar Square/Hyde Park, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2013
London plays host to the final of the World triathlon series this weekend. Trafalgar Square will be dedicated to the action, with big screens, competitions, special guests and the chance to have a go yourself. Free. More details here.
Lock to Lock Festival: Ponders End Lock to Enfield Lock, 11am to 7pm, Saturday 14 September 2013
Saturday brings a one-day festival to the River Lee Navigation from Ponders End Lock to Enfield Lock. The family festival will include river boat rides, paddlesports, music, history of the river, stalls, zorbing, face painting, bouncy castles and more. Free. More details here.
Chocolate Museum Festival, 11am to 1am, Saturday 14 September 2013
Brixton’s Chocolate Museum hosts a festival on Saturday. Children can attend a chocolate making workshop (£2) from 11am to 2pm. Later in the day there is a free chocolate demonstration (3pm to 4pm) and a free chocolate tasting (4pm to 5pm). More details here.
