This weekend there’s lots going on for kids in London. Will you choose a Spring Fair, Kite Flying, a Festival or two, skate and movie sessions, children’s theatre, or a parade?

Surrey Docks Farm Spring Fair, 11am to 4pm, Saturday 13 May 2017

Surrey Docks Farm has its annual Spring Fair this weekend. Pop along for sheep shearing, wool spinning, live music, baby animals, craft and food stalls, farm produce and more. Free. More details here

Anyday, The Albany, 1pm and 3pm, Sunday 14 May 2017

Go along to the Albany in Deptford on Sunday to see Anyday. It tells the story of Max, who lives on a trampoline with only his little pet bird for company, and who decides to go on an adventure. Tickets cost £7. More details here

Dogs Don’t Do Ballet and Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Little Angel Theatre, Saturday 13 May and Sunday 14 May

The Little Angel Theatre has two exciting productions to choose from this weekend. Discover the story of Biff the ballerina dog in Dogs Don’t Do Ballet, suitable for ages 2 to 7. Alternatively, enjoy an imaginative retelling of a classic fairytale in Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, suitable for ages 5 and up. Tickets cost £12/12.50 (adults) and £10/10.50 (child). Little Rippers Film Club: The Lego Movie, House of Vans, 10.30am and 12.30pm, Saturday 13 May 2017

House Of Vans Cinema is now hosting screenings of children’s film favourites every Saturday and Sunday morning. This Saturday you can see The Lego Movie (Sunday is Treasure Planet). Kids can attend an hour-long Skate Skool session before relaxing on a beanbag to watch the movie. Free entry, no booking required. More details here

May Fayre and Puppet Festival, Covent Garden, 12.30pm to 5.30pm, Sunday 14 May 2017

The annual Punch and Judy Puppet Festival and May Fayre is back at St Paul’s Church in Covent Garden this weekend. Celebrate the anniversary of the first recorded Punch and Judy show 355 years ago by taking in the puppet shows, live entertainment, refreshments, maypole dancing and more. Free. More details here

Dulwich Festival Fair, Goose Green, 11am to 4pm, Sunday 14 May 2017

The Dulwich Festival Fair, part of the wider Dulwich Festival, takes place on Goose Green in East Dulwich this weekend. Check out a selection of designers, independent shops, free bouncy castle, donkey rides, local bars and food stalls. Free. More details here

Streatham Common Kite Day, 11am to 5pm, Sunday 14 May 2017

Let’s go fly a kite on Sunday in Streatham! There will be professional kite flyers producing spectacular displays, plus you can bring your own kite, make one or buy one on site. Chestnut Sunday, Bushy Park, 12.30pm to 4.30pm, Sunday 14 May 2017

Watch Bushy Park’s Chestnut Sunday parade along the Chestnut Avenue to the children’s playground 12.30pm to 1.15pm. Then enjoy the traditional carousel, rides, stalls, military re-enactments, riding displays, concert band, classic cars, charities, local groups and more. Free. More details here
