Bastille Festival, Borough Market and Bankside, 12pm to 10pm, Sunday 14 July 2013

Borough Market and Bankside will be celebrating all things French to mark Bastille Day on Sunday. From foodie treats to French crafts, live music to snail racing, wine tasting to a petanque competition, there will be something for everyone. Free. More details here.

The Tales of Beatrix Potter: Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, Jubilee Park, Canary Wharf, 2pm to 4pm, Sunday 14 July 2013

The Children’s Theatre Festival continues this weekend in Canary Wharf. This week it’s Quantum Theatre’s turn to take the stage with the classic tale of Peter Rabbit. Free. More details here.

Streatham Festival, Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July 2013

It’s the Streatham Festival this weekend, which celebrates the borough’s architecture, arts and culture through the theme “The Glamour Days”. The festival features a diverse range of events including children’s and adult craft workshops, film screenings, theatre, music, dance, live art installations and a parade. Free. More details here.

Club to Catwalk: London Fashion in the 1980s, V&A, until 16 February 2014

The V&A’s latest exhibition explores London fashion in the 1980s as influenced by the club scene and featuring more than 85 eye-catching outfits by the most experimental young designers of the decade, including Betty Jackson, Katharine Hamnett, Wendy Dagworthy and John Galliano. Strawberry and Honey Fayre at Spitalfields City Farm, 12pm to 4pm, Sunday 14 July 2013

Head to Spitalfields City Farm on Sunday for a honey and strawberry fayre. There will be food and drink, live music, bee related activities, donkey rides, bubble fun and more. The weekly Eco-Chic Market will also take place until 6pm. Free. More details here.
