This weekend there’s affordable art, family science and St Patrick’s Day…

Affordable Art Fair, Battersea Park, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March 2016

This weekend the affordable art fair descends on Battersea Park. Whether or not you find an affordable artwork to take home, there are family workshops all day – including Okido meets Lego. Admission costs £12 for adults (advance ticket), children under 16 free. More details here

Families Find Out Festival, Museum of London, 11am to 4pm, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March 2016

Join science students from Imperial College London at the Museum of London this weekend as they take over the museum to explore the world of science and technology in London’s past, present and future. Free. More details here

Family Day: Electronic Superhighway, Whitechapel Gallery, 12pm to 4pm, Saturday 12 March 2016

The Whitechapel Gallery’s latest show, Electronic Superhighway (2016-1966), provides inspiration for a family day this weekend. Explore digital technology, art and ideas with artist Chloe Cooper by building props and making short films; or get crafty with artist Rebecca Davies to make your own colourful outfit. St Patrick’s Day Parade, 12pm to 6pm, Sunday 13 March 2016

It’s St Patrick’s Day next week and London’s official celebrations are taking place on Sunday. There’s a parade leaving Piccadilly at midday and travelling along to Trafalgar Square where there will be a full programme of entertainment. Free. More details here
