Canalway Cavalcade, Little Venice, 10am to 6pm on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May, 10am to 5pm on Monday 5 May 2014

Canalway Cavalcade is an annual waterways and community festival at Little Venice in London. There will be fun for all the family with a boaters’ gathering, a pageant of boats, trade shows and stalls, live music, kids’ activities, competitions, Morris Dancers, a real ale bar, and a wide variety of snacks and food. Vaisakhi Festival, Trafalgar Square, 12pm to 6pm, Sunday 4 May 2014

Celebrate the beginning of the Sikh New Year this weekend in Trafalgar Square. There will be traditional vegetarian food and drink, story-telling, turban dressing and a range of other festive children’s activities, including arts and crafts, face-painting and henna artists. Have a go at a number of sports, learn to dance Bhangra Boogie Woogie style, peruse the Asian Bazaar or just enjoy the impromptu Bollywood dancing and Dhol drumming across the Square. Free. Family First Sunday, Kenwood House, 12pm to 4pm, Sunday 4 May 2014

Head to Kenwood House on Sunday where artists will run creative workshops to bring Kenwood’s world famous paintings to life. Families will get to work together to try out different art and crafts whilst exploring the house and finding out more about its collections. Free. More details here.

Streets of Spain, Southbank Centre, 12pm to 11pm on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May, 12pm to 10pm on Monday 5 May 2014

The Southbank Centre will be transformed into a Spanish fiesta this weekend with a food market, street food, Campo Viejo bars and wine tasting. Free admission. More details here.

Malaysia Kitchen Spring Market, OXO Tower, 10am to 7pm, Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May 2014

The first ever Malaysia Kitchen Spring Market takes place this bank holiday weekend further along the South Bank between Oxo Tower Wharf and Waterloo Bridge. 12 Malaysian restaurants from across the UK will showcase their cuisine, alongside a Malaysian produce market, and live music performances.
