Canalway Cavalcade, Little Venice, Saturday 29 and Sunday April and Monday 1 May 2017

The annual Canalway Cavalcade waterways festival takes place at Little Venice this weekend. There will be a boat pageant, stalls, live music, kids’ activities, competitions, Morris Dancers, a real ale bar, and a wide variety of refreshments. Free. More details here

Kentish Town City Farm May Day Festival, 1pm to 4pm, Monday 1st May 2017

Kentish Town City Farm is hosting a May Day festival on Monday, welcoming visitors for traditional games, arts and crafts, live music, baking, goat grooming, pony rides, build a scarecrow, join a treasure hunt or just dance around the maypole. Tasty & Smelly, Tate Modern, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April 2017

This weekend Tate Modern is inviting visitors to discover a series of installations and events considering how taste and smell affect your response to art and culture. Designed by students from the University of Westminster, activities will include designing multi-sensory labels for artworks, creating teas that respond to the architecture of the building, chilling out in a scented pod and re-organising the Tate collection by flavour.
