Notting Hill Carnival Children’s Day, Sunday 24 August 2014

If it’s the August Bank Holiday weekend again then it must be time for the Notting Hill Carnival. Sunday is children’s day with bands and a family friendly parade hitting the streets from 9am. Free. More details here

BBC Good Food Festival, Hampton Court Palace, Saturday 23 to Monday 25 August 2014

The BBC Good Food Festival comes to Hampton Court Palace for the first time this weekend. There will be celebrity chefs, demonstrations, a food market, a kids’ cookery school, family fun and more. Tickets cost from £15.50 (adults), children enter for free. More details here

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Boat Trips, until 31 August 2014

Why not explore the Olympic Park by boat this weekend? Fully accessible boat tours are operating every day through the Park until 31 August, allowing visitors to experience the Park from a whole new perspective. The tour passes all the iconic sporting venues of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with facts about the surrounding area and its future provided by a professional tour guide.
