We were in Hoxton last week and called in at the Geffrye Museum to get into the festive spirit with a stroll through its annual Christmas Past exhibition.
If you are in the area between now and 3 January, go along to see the Museum’s period rooms decorated with authentic festive decorations from the past 400 years. You will recognise the familiar Christmas trees and stockings, the tradition of crafting bacon rashers and other savoury goods from sugar may come as more of a surprise…
There’s a nice children’s trail led by a cheery character called Sam the Dog and there are family wreath-making activities on Saturday 12 December.
