Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles – Science Museum

Posted by on Thursday, 2 January, 2014 in Museums, News, Rainy day

On a trip to the Science Museum this week we went to a fantastic Explainer-led session called Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles. Situated in the basement lecture theatre, near the ever popular Garden interactive zone, the half hour session featured bubbles of all sizes and offered plenty of opportunities for audience participation.

Plaudits should go to the Science Museum Explainer who hosted the session with panache, effortlessly engaging his young audience and laying down his ground rules (sitting on bottoms at all times, no popping the bubbles) with such good humour that he achieved almost total compliance – amazing in a room full of under 7s.

If you are visiting the Science Museum keep an eye out for the interactive screens on the ground floor that list all the special events and activities happening each day. There are sessions suitable for all ages and going to one can really enhance your visit (while providing a well-deserved sit down and break from answering an inquisitive toddler’s questions yourself…).
